Pioneer 90001 arriving at Ipswich with almost a complete Virgin liveried Mark 3 set. Contrary to 'one' policy of removing the original names after a repaint, 90001 was sent to Norwich wearing its 'BBC Midlands Today' nameplates; the scars of which can just be seen in the picture - behind the first grille. (Jan-'06)

With the launch of the Greater Anglia franchise taking place a few days earlier, 90003 is seen here still looking pristine. Appearances can be deceptive however, as the rainbow livery was applied in vinyl form directly over its previous Virgin Trains red and black, branding and all after an oversight by Willesden TMD meaning it wasn't rubbed down! The Virgin branding can sometimes be seen in the right light. (May-'04)
