Something that is becoming an increasingly common occurrance, a GNER HST needed assistance from a 'Thunderbird' today. 67016 worked 1S12 Kings Cross-Aberdeen (terminated short of its destination at Edinburgh to run ECS to Craigentinny for repairs) throughout after 43096 developed a fault. Seen here approaching Alnmouth station running over an hour late, despite the new rule introduced by GNER that rescue locos can now run at 100mph rather than the previous 75mph. (Sep-'06)
